Christie Clermont - Visual Artist and Educator
When she is not painting, Christie is teaching art to children from Pre- K to 12th grade at a school in Port- au Prince, Haiti. There, Christie has developed a curriculum that has its foundations in the elements of art and principles of design. She wants all children to be able to express themselves through art because it can be an outlet for them. Christie's love of working with children has been her full time passion for the last 4 years and she wants to continue to serve her local and abroad community in any way that she can.
Christie not only teaches art to kids but adults as well, providing them with basic tools and formulas to create their desired piece. If you would like to schedule art lessons or paint parties with Christie, she is open to do so. Please refer to the contact form below.

Christie's vibrant use of color and bold lines evoke electric fascination that resonates within the imaginations of many. She matches her visual intensity with striking subjects of women of color and strong- lined abstract with the reocurring them of nature and social commentary.
Christie mainly works with heavy bodied acrylic paint to give texture to her pieces. She also enjoys working with gold-leaf, papers and fabric to add to the subject matter of her pieces.
