Christie Clermont is a folk-based and abstract artist currently living and working in Atlanta, Georgia with her wonderful husband and three sons. She just recently moved from Port-au- Prince, Haiti after living there for 6 years.

Originally from Athens, Georgia, Christie grew up with a rich full southern childhood and strong family those of which have shaped the direction of her art.

Christie's vibrant use of color and bold lines evoke electric fascination that resonates within the imaginations of many. She matches her visual intensity with striking subjects of women of color and strong- lined abstract.

Using heavy body acrylic paints, watercolors, gold-leaf, papers, and fabrics to enhance her subject matter, Christie believes in paintings jumping out at you and telling a story. She wants her experiences and perspective to be reflective in her work.

Christie not only is a visual artist, she is and educator as well. She teaches art to kids and adults, providing them with basic tools and formulas to create their desired piece. Christie believes that everyone is an artist in their own way! She teaches that art is a form of expression that can give release to the stressors of everyday life via Sip N' Paints, Art Jams and one on one classes.
